Good morning everyone and hope it was find for The St. Patrick's Day parade.
Thanks, toetapping. Yes, the weather was great for all of those who were out taking part in parades. I spent some of my time in the garden, planting wild garlic seed. Also Suzie, my new cat, spent quite a lot of today in the garden. She loves to get outside.
Hope St. Patrick's day went well for you, Whisker and everyone who has connection to Ireland.
We have many Irish descendants in this area.
Yes, thank you, @deyana. The Saint Patrick's Festival continues on in Dublin until the week-end. They'll be a lot of people with hangovers by the end of it, I imagine.
A lot of Irish have emigrated to Canada over the centuries, starting in the mid-eighteen hundreds, due to the Great Irish Potato Famine
Last night I saw something on TV, it said the first Irish people that came to North America landed & stayed in Newfoundland. I always wanted to visit there.

I'm sure I heard something like that too. @pingin. It was very much like it is for the unfortunate Syrians nowadays. A great many of the Irish died before reaching their destination due to starvation and disease.
