The UK's stunning vote to leave the European Union has sent political tremors across the Atlantic, with Donald Trump hoping that frustrated US voters will back similarly sweeping change.
The result has also rattled Democrats, who are banking on Americans ultimately choosing a more conventional leader in Hillary Clinton this autumn.
The parallels between the forces that drove the British vote and those at the core of Mr Trump's campaign are striking.
He sure is different Donald Trump. Perhaps people would like to see something different in voting for him. Some are sick of the Clintons. It will be interesting.
I agree, pingin. Trump is the worst thing that could happen to the US. The country could very well end up spiraling down faster than the UK is right now.
You've hit the nail on the head, @pingin and @deyana! I even heard mention of a 2nd referendum, should the British politicians choose not to go along with the Peoples' results. It may come down to that - things are so dire.
It went down so far, It's probably springing back.
Bank of Ireland, where I have my account (not shares), lost 20% on the value of its shares, due to its links with Britain. That's a huge drop in one day.
