Devastated! I have been worried as to what to do with Susie, my adopted cat, while I'm in hospital having surgery. Susie has special mental needs, but is adorable and absolutely loves living in my house. She also loves the outdoors. I couldn't see her being confined in a cattery for a number of weeks. When I phoned the vet, he suggested he would "re-home" Susie back to her original owner, as nothing seems to help with her mental condition. I am thinking now that maybe the original owner would be prepared to keep her until I am recovered, and that then I would take her back. It shouldn't be a big deal for him to keep her during the Summer months.
That's a good idea Whisker because Susie can relate to her previous owner and would probably settle there best till you are fit enough to have her back again. I think her previous owner would help you out under the circumstances as well. I hope your surgery goes well Whisker and you are in and out in record time. Good Luck from Me.
