The guy behind the phone in the plumbing company came to visit me to see what all the fuss was about and to try to pacify me, as my patience is running out. The woman behind the phone had ordered a designer handrail, that obviously was part of a set. It would have looked ridiculous in my bathroom. I couldn't accept it and had sent it back. When the young guy arrived, he had a brochure of "special needs" handrails. The one he favoured was shaped like a bent "L" - half of it parallel with the floor and the other half slanted upwards. I agreed to that one. Now it's going to take another couple of days to order. LOL! So I'm still waiting for my shower.

LOL! Sorry to say - it's not fixed yet!. Am still waiting for my shower. I think I told you all already, I hired a carer to visit me three times a week for a month - mainly to help with the showering, so I don't do myself an injury getting over the bath. Well, she's come three times and still no handrail, which was meant to be installed, July 18th! One thing after another has happened in the meantime, which has hindered it being fitted. The guy behind the phone in the plumber's shop, paid me a visit to try and sort things out. He actually is a nice young man, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

Next morning, the Carer arrived and still no handrail! I was chatting with her telling her about the guy's visit. She had planned to take me grocery shopping and to the Post Office in her car. The Post Office is in a larger shop, where there is a coffee shop. As we were passing through the coffee shop, who do we bump into only the plumber guy, coming in for his cuppa coffee. He stops me to tell me there will be a few more day's delay on the handrail, which now has to come from England. LOL! The Carer and I could not not stop laughing all the way home.
