New York (AFP) - US sporting goods giant Nike unveiled Wednesday its first shoe that ties itself, the HyperAdapt 1.0, which will go on sale at the end of 2016.
Sensors at the heel level activate the lacing when a foot slips into the shoe. Two buttons on the side of the shoe can be pressed to loosen or tighten the lacing.
Oh my what a neat idea! Amazing, really and truly, but while I can tie my own laces, I will continue to do so. I bet they sold out pretty fast though.
I'd like to see these in action first before I'd make up my mind to buy them. Sounds like a good idea for those with difficulties tying their shoe laces.
