This Quaint Irish Island Wants Americans to Move There ASAP
The Irish have a reputation of being welcoming and overall friendly people - and one of the country's most remote islands is only further proving that to be true. You see, the once thriving Inishturk Island has seen its population plummet in recent years to just 58 people. So to help grow their community, they're seeking out people they think might be looking for an escape: Americans who aren't happy with their country's current state of politics.
There's a certain type of person, who would be attracted to moving to a place like that. it would have its advantages and disadvantages - probably more disadvantages! There are lots of similar islands dotted around the Irish coastline.
The article is a bit tongue in cheek, I think, as it makes the suggestion that people might like to move there in order to get away from America under the Trump Presidency! LOL!
Lovely for a break away, Whisker, even for the Irish during elections lol Easy solving the no trees, Pingin - just plant some fast growing ones and in five years they would be well up and would definitely add to the island.
