Mississippi gov. signs law allowing service denial to gays

(AP) — Mississippi's governor signed a law Tuesday allowing religious groups and private businesses to deny services to gay and transgender people — echoing attempts made in other states with varying levels of success following last year's Supreme Court ruling that effectively legalized gay marriage nationwide.

Hear! Hear! @pingin. There was a recent case in Northern Ireland where a bakery refused to make a wedding cake for two gay men. It ended up in court. The bakery owners claimed that being gay went against their religious beliefs, therefore they couldn't, in conscience, make a cake advocating gay marriage, for these two men.
