No red carpet treatment for Donald Trump’s Irish visit
The Government has no plans to formally meet US presidential candidate Donald Trump when he travels to Ireland later this month amid opposition calls for widespread protests.
I agree, @deyana! He received the red carpet and some traditional musicians dressed in red, on the tarmac, the last time the arrived to open his golf /leisure center. But he has soiled his copy since then. Big protests are being planned by a number of groups for his arrival this time. I hope it does not end up in trouble. Apart from that, his visit is set to clash with the official visit by Joe Biden, American Vice-president, who will receive a Government welcome.
