In your opinion, do Parents in general, give enough thought to the fallout resulting from their decisions re their will, where it concerns the disposal of their estate?
Maybe it is now time to learn to let go: let go of the resentment, the aspiration for resolution and begin to embrace the coming end of life of your parents.
I think money has to do with it. I went through the same thing but never worried me. People said to me contest the will in court. My answer was it was Dad's wish and it will stay that way.
Don't you have to go by a person's last will? It certainly is a legal document that the family left behind can't just go by whatever copy they wish, right? Don't proper, legal procedures, such as going by a person's last will have to be followed?
They do have to be followed, but that doesn't mean the descendants are happy with it. They can contest a will and try to prove there was something wrong about how it was drawn up, i.e. the person is not mentally capable of making a will at the time or was coerced in some way by another person, etc.
